I always believed that you don't need any special formal quality certification if you just respect your environment and integrate with it, without compromising the natural and spontaneous balance of the elements. Being loyal and respectful to your “terroir” is fundamental to reach original and authentic results. Protecting and saving what was donated to us by the past generations is the strongest and most revolutionary act we could do today.
This is why i decided to revise in a modern way the traditional techniques used by the local winegrowers of the past, focusing on the organic features of the soil. I use the “sovescio mirato” (“green manure”) with leguminous, gramineous and astraceous herbs to improve the fertility of a very acid soil. All the treatments have low environmental impact and they use alternative products based on ivy, horsetail, yucca, propolis and a small amount of cow milk, copper and sulfur powder. We help the natural development of spontaneous flora and fauna for a natural environmental balance , in our vineyards you can find: earthworms, maybugs, bees and scarabs.
The manure is organic and self-produced and all the vines are directly checked and chosen from the best local selection. Our daily activity in the vineyars is a constant research and experimentation on local traditional techniques.
